Lower Makefield Woman's Club
Lower Makefield Woman's Club is a group of talented and committed women who are dedicated to helping the local Buck County community through supporting non-profits by hosting fundraisers.
We are not letting the summer months slow us down. The club has started a "Games Day" that affords members the opportunity to play numerous games as well as learn. We also have a knit group. We start up regular meetings and programs as well as our fundraising efforts in September.
Recently, LMWC had its final session of the year and installed its officers for 2024-2026 session.![]()
We also presented checks to our two worthy non-profits, Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) and Ivins House Bucks County.![]()
Michelle Cash, Director for Development, spoke for NOVA. She mentioned that NOVA provides trauma-informed care to foster healing at no cost for survivors and crime victims and their loved ones. They also help provide critical education in local schools about bullying and safe internet use.![]()
Millie Kerner Community Relations Coordinator from Ivins Outreach Center Bucks stressed how Ivins strives to improve the quality of life for those within our neighboring communities with opportunities to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure, regardless of age, income, or background.![]()
It was our honor to support these outstanding organizations
To all members and supporters, please remember and honor all those who fought and died for our nation.
For its April program, the club borrowed from home grown talent, as member Cindy led members in a demonstration of flower arranging.
