Lower Makefield Woman's Club
Lower Makefield Woman's Club is a group of talented and committed women who are dedicated to helping the local Buck County community through supporting non-profits by hosting fundraisers.
LMWC members gathered at the lovely home of Chris and her husband, Dan, on Tuesday, August 11, for what is quickly becoming a favorite summer tradition: our annual summer barbecue. Everyone enjoyed catching up on summer activities and travels, sharing plans for the fall, and spending a delightful afternoon together. Even the weather cooperated!

LMWC had the pleasure of combining fellowship with giving back to two wonderful local nonprofits. On Tuesday, July 28th, members enjoyed a lovely luncheon at Meglio Pizzeria in Newtown, where everyone had a wonderful time. We are grateful to Meglio for their generous donation to LMWC in support of Fostering Hope and Canine Companions. These organizations provide meaningful support for foster children and for individuals who benefit from the assistance of trained service dogs.
Today, our club proudly joins our members, supporters, neighbors, county, and Americans across the nation in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. This milestone is more than a date on the calendar—it is a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, vision, and enduring spirit that shaped our country and continue to guide the American experience today. As we gather with family, friends, and community, let us celebrate our shared history, honor the founding of our nation, and recommit ourselves to the values of freedom, service, and unity that make America strong. Happy 250th Anniversary, America!
