General Meetings

Where?

St. John’s Evangelical Luther Church

1203 Pine Grove, Yardley, PA

When?

3rd Thursday of each month

There is easy access to our meeting place. Monthly meetings present the opportunity to meet the Executive Board, Committee Chair Persons, and a host of women looking forward to meeting you. We gather to facilitate a year of socializing, fundraising, and entertainment. The officers and directors schedule guest speakers and local talent for our monthly meetings. You will find we conduct business, discuss our groups agenda, and divide & conquer our committees. Traditionally, we bring our own lunch while our ever hard working hospitality group serves beverage and dessert.

Naturally, there are a few exceptions to this rule…beginning with our opening meeting in September which invites all to bring a covered dish to serve 4-6 (your specialty, please). The lure of uniting with old friends and meeting new ones, as well as renewing our activities is cause for a luscious buffet. Another special meeting is our December Luncheon. A fine dining restaurant is selected for a Festive Holiday Celebration. Every other year our May meeting is held in a restaurant for the Installation of Officers for a two-year term.

*Lower Makefield Woman’s Club is active September-May

We ask new/potential members to attend two general meetings prior to submitting a membership application. Perhaps you already know an existing member of our club? Besides general monthly meetings, current members may invite you to attend any of our numerous social events.

If we have peaked your curiosity and you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact us via this website or call our Membership Chair Person: Marylin Hankins at 215-493-4102. We will see to it that you feel welcome, comfortable, and most of all, meet new friends.

The LMWC collects canned goods at our monthly meetings for the Church Food Pantry, along with personal products not covered by food stamps for the Bucks County Housing Group. All donations, whether large or small, are sincerely appreciated.
